CYCLE CLUB EYEWEAR – is part of Westchester Low Vision that evolved from Dr. O’Connell’s love of Cycling. Dr. O’Connell, when not working, is generally to be found invilved with cycling in some way shape or form.

Dr. O’Connell is on the Board of the Westchester Cycle Club, and runs annual away trips for the club. In addition he started a program in the club called Westchester Bikes4Kids, which collects, refurbishes and distributes children bicycle to local children in need, who might otherwise never experience the thrill of riding a bike.

Cycle Club Eyewear was started when Dr. O’Connell realized that many of his fellow cyclists either wore eyeglasses poorly suited to the sport, or paid very high prices for better cycling eyewear.

As a limited service to members of The Westchester Cycle Club, and some other local cycling and or ski clubs, cycling eyewear advice is free, and high quality cycling eyewear from Rudy Project and other manufacturers is available at 25% below MSRP. Prescription cycling eyewear is also available at similar discounts, or members may take the eyewear elsewhere for prescriptions. This part of the practice is NOT open to the public at large.
